Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company has added multiple stakes-placed Dream Concert to its OBSOnline January auction, which runs through Jan. 30.

The Eddie Truman Library was opened in Santa Anita’s stable area in a dedicated space that’s part of the recreation center and dining hall that serves backstretch workers. Truman donated many of the books in the collection.

Wootton Bassett fever hit Karaka early on the first day of the New Zealand Bloodstock National Yearling Sale Jan. 26 with two colts by the sire selling for a combined figure of NZ$1,325,000 (about US$756,501).

Walmac stallion Fulsome, a multiple grade 3 winner and grade 1-placed son of perennial leading sire Into Mischief, sired his first reported foal in Kentucky Jan. 23. Fulsome also has a New York-bred and an Oklahoma-bred on the ground.

Animal Science professor Dr. William “Bill” McGuire is at his third college, teaching Thoroughbred breeding to students with the help of stallion Rascal Cat since 2017.
