In response to a court order demanding more clarity, California stewards issued another decision in the Justify disqualification case claiming they have no authority to intervene despite being directed to act by the California Horse Racing Board.

Jockey Javier Castellano, who has won the Travers Stakes (G1) a record six times, will go for his seventh with Belmont (G1) winner Arcangelo. He also is the regular rider for Derby winner Mage, who will get Luis Saez for the Midsummer Derby.
