White Abarrio missed a couple of scheduled workouts last month after getting sick as he readied for his 3-year-old debut, but he didn’t miss a beat on the racetrack Feb. 5, when he won the $250,000 Holy Bull Stakes (G3) at Gulfstream Park.

C R K Stable’s Express Train started off 2022 the same way he did 2021—with a victory in the $200,500 San Pasqual Stakes (G2) at Santa Anita Park. He even crossed the wire first by the same 3 1/4-length margin.

Delta Downs hosted its richest program of the season Feb. 5 as the 19th edition of Louisiana Premier Day took center stage. The 11-race program featured 10 stakes races and more than $900,000 in total purse money for Louisiana-bred horses.
