Louisiana Racing Commission voted to delay 30 days a decision on whether to restore Delta Downs’ nighttime schedule while safety concerns with the track’s new lights are resolved.

The third annual owners club contest will be held at Tampa Bay Downs on Saturday. Individuals who pick the winner of the 10th race will become part of a fantasy-based ownership for the rest of the 2021-2022 meet. There is no cost to enter.

A pair of $500,000 races will put the spotlight on 2-year-olds by New York stallions Dec. 18 at Aqueduct Racetrack.

The 2022 Colonial Downs Race Meet will feature an expanded number of race days as well as an increase in daily purse money from $552,000 in 2021 to an expected $600,000 in 2022. The meet will run July 11 – September 7.
