The owners of the sprinter Drafted have filed an appeal over a $26,000 loss of purse due to a riding-crop infraction from jockey Luis Rodriguez Castro in riding the gelding to a fifth-place finish in the Aug. 27 Forego Stakes (G1) at Saratoga.
