Trainer Phil Bauer had hoped to run his 5-year-old mare Played Hard in the Shuvee Stakes (G2) at Saratoga. A spiked temperature stopped that plan and now Bauer hopes she will run next in the Spa’s Personal Ensign Stakes (G1) on Aug. 25.
